I do buy some art supplies on Amazon, since it is oh-so-very convenient and fast like the wind, but mostly I buy from Blick. What astounds me about Blick is that their prices on art supplies are almost always less than Amazon, and in some cases the difference is huge.

These guys specialize in a wide range of fine art materials and craft materials as well. I am sort of a sucker for stationary supplies and they also have a great selection of this too. And you can buy feathers here too: I don't receive their newsletter but maybe they have more community related info there as I couldn't find any on their website.

I have found Walmart to consistently have among the lowest prices for specific craft supplies. And during back-to-school season they have amazing prices on some basics like construction paper and glue.
Craft supplies have overly increased. When you have 7 kids to buy for, well $30 kits and higher, are way out of range for me. Dollor stores are my best bet to get enough for the kids. And affordable.I've done crafts all my life. The increase of materials are just out of sight high. I wish I could find a real discount store on line for these things. But from what I have compared prices with so far is a great disappointment.They, online stores, have taken a good thing and now are exploiting prices. Add shipping and a pack of pompoms are like the price of a pair of shoes! I think it is cheaper to buy in store now, and to give up online shopping.
